SUPER Summer

Join us for our SUPER SUMMER program!

This summer each child at Cherished Children will work on being a H.E.R.O. (Healthy. Earth Friendly. Respectful of Animals and Other People). We will start off the summer with everyone making a super hero costume out of recycled materials. Each class will be given secret weekly missions such as picking up trash at the park, making bag lunches for a homeless shelter and collecting dog food to donate to Save-a-Pet. After they complete their weekly mission they can add it to our "Mission Accomplished" wall. The children will be planting seeds and plants in our new flower beds and learning all about gardening. We also have a lot of great field trips planned to help our heroes hone their super powers! Every Friday we will have special guests and/or activities about Science. We are calling this Sci-Fri and the guests are Sci-Ed Kicks (pronounced Side Kicks!). We'll end the summer with a Super H.E.R.O. Soiree to celebrate the kids AMAZING accomplishments! (Check out the summer calendars located at the "For Parents" tab under "2009-2010 Curriculum Calendars" for more specific info.)

I am so blessed to have found such a wonderful place for my son. In a month we both have grown so much and have such a better relationship. He has learned so much academically, socially, and emotionally. I am very thankful for having such wonderful teachers in his room for their caring, compassionate, and understanding personalities. Hats off to teaching so many tots at once!

The site looks great. My only suggestions would be to put pictures of kids participating in the many wonderful/educational activities that you have them doing daily with discriptions of the activity. Also, putting the extra things that children have the ability to participate in; such as, gymnastics, spanish, dance. Those opportunities are invaluable!

Wonderful job on the new website! The site is very easy to navigate, user friendly, and flows well. I also loved seeing my boys pictures on the pages.. :)
